The best YouTube ad blocker - Top 5 reasons
When developing Magic Lasso Adblock, we wanted to deliver best in class YouTube ad blocking. So what does best in class actually mean?
Here’s our top five reasons why Magic Lasso Adblock is the best way to block YouTube ads.
1. Blocks all YouTube video ads
Magic Lasso Adblock effectively blocks all YouTube video ads in Safari, including both pre-roll and mid-roll ads.
As outlined in the comprehensive “How to Block YouTube Ads” guide, most other ad-blocking methods do not consistently block the most irritating and annoying YouTube ads, which are the pre-roll and mid-roll video ads.
2. Blocks over 10 other types of YouTube ads
When using Magic Lasso Adblock, you’ll enjoy a clutter-free and ad-free YouTube experience, with even less annoyances than when using YouTube Premium.
Along with blocking all YouTube video ads, Magic Lasso also effectively blocks over 10 other types of YouTube ads. This includes banner ads, search ads, suggested product ads, home page banner ads, paid merchandising ads, shopping ads, and paid promoted videos.
3. Made for iPhone, iPad and Mac
Magic Lasso integrates with Safari on all your devices – iPhone, iPad and Mac. The same great features work consistently no matter which device you use.
As the app has been designed from the ground up to be a native app, it supports Safari’s native content blocker and extension APIs to provide the best performance possible. It also has full support for other Apple platform native features such as Dark mode, Family Sharing and iCloud syncing.
4. Designed to protect your privacy
Magic Lasso Adblock is the first ad blocker that delivers full YouTube ad blocking while respecting your privacy.
Magic Lasso seamlessly blocks all YouTube ads with a combination of custom, efficient content blocking rules using Safari’s native content blocker API along with a permission-restricted ‘Magic Lasso Pro’ web extension.
Unlike other ad blockers whose web extensions have unrestricted permissions to read and view any pages you visit, Magic Lasso Pro only has access to pages within the youtube.com domain. Therefore your browsing history beyond YouTube is not accessible to the web extension. Or to the Magic Lasso app. Meaning an optimal balance between functionality and privacy.
This continues our commitment to put user’s privacy first while continuing to make a better ad blocker for all Apple platforms.
5. Continually updated and supported
We understand the difficulty, time and effort that goes into providing a best in class YouTube ad blocking approach. Developing and maintaining an effective YouTube ad blocker is not for the faint of heart!
YouTube is constantly evolving and attempting to circumvent known ad blocking methods. It’s for this reason that finding a good ad blocker, that also blocks YouTube ads effectively, can be challenging.
Magic Lasso Adblock, along with its YouTube ad blocking, is continually updated. We release new ad blocking rules almost daily, release new app versions almost every month and have, for more than 5 years, ensured that our app always overcomes YouTube’s anti-ad block attempts.
Additionally, If any problems or issues arise, feel free to email us your questions for prompt and seamless support.
